Senior Python developer

Role Summary

The Senior Python Developer will design, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems, leveraging advanced Python frameworks and tools to build robust applications and integrate cutting-edge AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain APIs using Django REST Framework.
• Design and manage PostgreSQL databases for high-performance applications.
• Integrate and utilize LLM APIs like OpenAI GPT and Claude for AI-driven solutions.
• Build and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems with LangChain.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Python code.

Required Qualifications

• Python — strong working knowledge of Python and its ecosystem.
• Django REST Framework — expertise in building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• PostgreSQL — proficiency in designing and managing relational databases.
• LLM APIs (OpenAI GPT / Claude) — experience in integrating and utilizing large language model APIs.
• RAG systems with LangChain — hands-on experience in developing RAG systems using LangChain.

Nice to Have

• FastAPI — familiarity with building APIs using FastAPI.
• Flask — experience in developing lightweight web applications with Flask.
• Celery — knowledge of task queue systems for asynchronous processing.
• Redis — understanding of in-memory data stores for caching and message brokering.
• Apache Airflow — experience in orchestrating workflows and data pipelines.
• Docker — ability to containerize applications for consistent deployment.
• CI/CD — knowledge of continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• GitHub Actions — experience in automating workflows with GitHub Actions.
• AWS — familiarity with cloud services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner certification — foundational knowledge of AWS cloud concepts.
• Vector databases — understanding of vector database usage in AI applications.
• Elasticsearch — experience in implementing search and analytics solutions.
• Microservices — knowledge of designing and deploying microservices architectures.
• GraphQL — familiarity with building and consuming GraphQL APIs.
• WebSockets — understanding of real-time communication protocols.
• Hugging Face — experience in leveraging Hugging Face models and tools.

Location and Working Arrangement

This is a part-time role based in Lahore, Pakistan, with a mid-day shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The monthly rate is PKR 400,000.00, negotiable.
